songalogue review

At first my songalogue was just one song, but the song was to short so what I decided to do was think of a song and or commercial or even a theme song that I remembered. The first thing that came to my head was one of my favorite shoes, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In the show I always remembered the episode of Will Smith meeting his father for the first time and it was a very emotional scene. But what I decided to do was include in my songalogue that my father was never really around for me just like Will's father wasn't. So once I found out from my mother that he died I was shocked, because he was never around and I didn't hear anything but bad things about him. So what I did was combine the two songs and play the emotions different. At first I was kind of happy and mellow but once I entered the second song I slowly began to get sad. I think I did a good job with my blocking and making eye contact with the audience. I wanted to involve a hat in my scene so I can throw it ...

Short blog post

today I tried to work on turning my song into a monologue, but I couldn’t quite figure it out so I changed my whole song to papa was a rolling stone. I made progress to actually pick a song as of now I’m just working on memorization and blocking. This week I have to figure out what emotion I want to share with the audience and what kind of blocking I’m going to do

Mini Monologue review

My monologue had a lot of different roles i could have chosen from, At first when i did my first performance (rough draft) i chose to play it the innocent way. I chose this way at first just to see how i liked it to see if I as in myself liked playing the innocent way . I realized that at least mostly EVERYONE who has been in high school for at least 2 years has cheated on something, even if its just copying homework from a friend its still a form of cheating. So i thought it would be more realistic if i played it as if i cheated. I could have done a better job being more sarcastic I know that there where lots of parts were during the conversation with him and his father he said he would take the test over or the cheat sheet was planted. The father was almost forced into believing his son once the son said “you’re going to believe some strangers word over mine “. That kind of makes you want to kind of back up and look at the situation I’m sure the kid never gave the father any hard tim...

Theater Post

Well for one theater to me in general it’s a building or outdoor area in which plays and other dramatic performances are given. But I think theater exist , because back In the old days it was a way of telling a story. I think Theater really developed over the years with its way of doing these or just graphics in generally being better I think technology really plays a bigger world as a whole . Good ways to perform in a show or an acting scene is to really project your voice and to move with a purpose . Another big trait  is just emotion . People could do theater to try to pursue a career or maybe it can be there sport there or they just have a interest in it. I do acting because I have a interest in it. I find it to be a different way to express your feelings or emotions from the action that we are assigned to do.
